I love your passion for Paris! Although my ancestry is 75 percent French, my passion is for the culture of Vienna, another capital city that has been a great center for the arts and sciences and is, like Paris, also divided into numbered districts. Unfortunately, however, its climate is very different from that of Southern California, so I'd have a hard time living there in the winter! I agree with you that experiencing different cultures is very enriching. Inter-generational experiences are more difficult for me. At my age, there isn't an older generation still alive, so my primary interaction is with artists who have been dead for some time.

Thanks Robert, for your interest and comment. Yes, it seems to be a an interesting set of dynamics that draws us to a certain culture or geographical area! At any rate, I think it keeps us energized and full of hope. At this point, I have several younger friends, who are the age of my children really vitalize my life. Thanks for reading!

Bonjour mes amies! Two "old" Paris friends - Claudine and I bonded over our shared love of history pre-pandemic, and I met Krystal through her. (and Krystal took our pictures in 2022)- and one new friend! It's been a joy to get to know you in our Wednesday classes, Janis. I do hope we can meet in person some day and share a table en terrasse!! 🥰🥰🥰

Danyel, Merci ! Truly, listening to Krystal and Claudine became a weekly habit during 2020, and I still listen each week! I learn so much. Yes, I am really enjoying Chrissy's class and have enjoyed getting to know you more. I need to s-t-u-d-y! Yes, it would be lovely to meet. My next trip is in the fall. ~J
